How did you come up with LeadIQ?
Mei: We were working on another B2B startup, which failed. There, we found that B2B sales are not easy. We researched inbound leads to understand who they are so we could find more people like them. It took a lot of time to find and research those prospects. We started building a lead enrichment service to save time. Then we added a lead capture service, since most companies don't have enough inbound leads.
What market are you competing in?
We're competing in the sales acceleration market, which is a $12 billion industry. Businesses are currently spending over $2,000 per sales rep each year on sales acceleration technologies. The market has the potential to grow even further as sales acceleration is still in its infancy (especially compared to other markets such as CRM and Marketing Automation).
How was your LAUNCH Incubator experience?
We're so fortunate to be part of such an amazing incubator. The class size is small and intimate and Jason is very hands-on with each company. Every week, we get the opportunity to pitch in front of Jason's extensive network of great investors and successful founders. They not only provide great tips on how to build and scale a company, but also offer very relevant feedback and make intros to the right people.
Jason designs the incubator sessions so everyone learns from each other. The sessions are intense with a lot to learn; we're soaked with new ideas every week and pushed to iterate faster than what we thought we were capable of.
